for an Entry or a Transit Visa at Maltese Embassies or
Consulates before proceeding to Malta.
Algeria - Visa applications have to be submitted in the
usual manner. However, when approved, the visa is issued
free of charge.
Sudanese nationals en route for Libya through Malta
require a transit visa to enter Malta and a valid residence
permit for Libya and exit re-entry visa. In case of Sudanese
holders of diplomatic passports, official or special
passports, also require an entry visa to Libya.
Hong Kong citizens in possession of British Overseas (BOC)
passports and British Nationals Overseas (BNO) passport will
not require a visa to enter Malta. However, holders of Hong
Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passports will
have to procure a visa in accordance with normal procedures.
Visitors requiring an entry visa to Malta and who
undertake day trips (of less than 24 hours) to another
country are exempted from paying another entry visa on their
return to Malta.
